Explaindio 5 AI: Questions

How do I make a video for my own business, or for a business that isn’t in my list?

Open the Animation Studio and click Make a video from a website. Type the website address and make the video. No type of business is needed: any business works. Explaindio reads the site and builds the explainer, and you can change every scene in the editor.

My type of business isn’t in the menu. What do I do?

Use Make a video from a website in the Animation Studio, as above. It works for any business.

You can also type any type of business. The ten with ready-made scene sets are listed first. When you add a business by its website, you can leave the type empty: Explaindio works it out from the site and shows the type it found, with a Change button, or says it couldn’t tell.

Which types of business have ready-made scene sets?

Today: dentist, restaurant, salon, plumber, roofer, HVAC, gym, law firm, med spa and real estate. Every other business is built from the general template library, steered to its trade, with stock footage for more than 40 trades. More ready-made sets are on the way.

Does Explaindio use the pictures or the logo from the business’s website?

No. It reads only the site’s text: what the business does, its services and its name. The pictures come from your own Brand Kit logo if you uploaded one, Explaindio’s AI illustrations, free stock photos and video, and the templates’ own art.

Why not? Can I use the website’s photos myself?

Photos and logos on a website belong to someone: the business, a photographer or a stock company, and they are often licensed only for that site. Using them without permission can cause a copyright or trademark problem. Only use photos the owner gives you, or ones you have the right to use. We’re not lawyers: when in doubt, ask the owner’s permission.

The owner sent me their photos and logo. How do I add them?

The logo: upload it as a Brand Kit and apply the Brand Kit. Every scene with a logo spot uses it.

The photos: in the editor, click a scene’s picture, then Replace picture or Upload a picture (PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 10 MB), and render the scene. A few pictures are part of a scene’s design and can’t be swapped; the editor tells you when.

A whole scene from their photo or video clip: in the editor’s media panel, upload the picture or clip. It becomes a new full-frame scene at the end. Add text or a voice, and move it where you want it.

Do I need the Bundle to use the Explaindio Player?

The Player is included in the Explaindio 5 AI Bundle.

It is also available on its own inside the app: $19 a month or $190 a year (two months free), with up to 25,000 views a month. It needs Explaindio 5 AI. Pay with the same email as your Explaindio account.

Without the Player, every business still gets its own page that plays its video, and every video downloads as a normal video file you can put anywhere.

What happens to my players if I cancel the Player?

Your players keep working to the end of the period you paid for. A few days after that, they show the plain video, with no headline, button or counts (at once on a refund). Nothing is deleted.

Where is the Render button on a sample?

A sample has no Render button: it is the free preview the owner watches. When the owner pays you, open the business and click Client paid — make the full video. The full, clean video is made and put on the owner’s page, ready to play and download. To change the sample first, open it in the Studio, edit it, and click Update the page with my edits.

Which languages can I make videos in?

With Explaindio 5 AI, videos are narrated in US English. With Explaindio 5 Pro and the Bundle, you can make videos in six languages: English in US and UK voices, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese. Pick the language when you make a video in the Studio.
